1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms govern access to and use of Self, bony.lol, the Self Discord bot, the dashboard, Self AI, support tools, Premium features, and related services (together, “Self”). By accessing or using Self, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Self.
You may use Self only if you are legally permitted to use Discord and the services involved in your location. You are responsible for complying with applicable law and the rules of communities you manage.
2. Discord relationship and authorization
Self is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Discord Inc. Discord names, trademarks, APIs, and platform services belong to their respective owners.
You may connect or configure Self only for accounts, servers, channels, roles, and other resources you are authorized to manage. The dashboard checks Discord identity and server-management permissions before protected server data or settings are returned.
- Do not impersonate another user or attempt to use another person’s Discord account.
- Do not bypass Self’s access checks, staff restrictions, rate limits, or server-side permission checks.
- Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord’s own terms, guidelines, and policies.
3. Bot actions can change your server
Self includes moderation, anti-nuke, message cleanup, role and channel management, verification, automation, server backup and recovery, webhook and invite controls, lockdown tools, music, support, community, utility, and Premium functionality. Some commands can create, edit, move, restrict, remove, or restore Discord resources.
You are responsible for reviewing command behavior, permissions, targets, presets, and dashboard settings before using them. Authorized server managers can change persistent bot behavior through Discord commands or the dashboard, including Modules. Confirm that the intended server and settings are selected before applying changes. Some Discord actions are difficult or impossible to reverse, even when Self provides a confirmation step, backup, audit log, or recovery feature.
Keep appropriate Discord permissions and independent backups for anything important. Self should not be your only recovery or security mechanism.
4. Account and security responsibilities
Sign-in uses Discord OAuth. You are responsible for the security of your Discord account and any device or browser session used to access Self. If you believe access to your account or server has been compromised, remove unauthorized Discord access and review your Self configuration promptly.
Self may limit or block requests, sessions, accounts, servers, or features where reasonably necessary to protect users, infrastructure, Discord communities, or the service.
5. Content you submit
You keep ownership of text and other content you submit through tickets, feedback, support chat, Self AI, configuration fields, or similar features. You grant Self a limited right to store, process, display, transmit, and moderate that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
Do not submit secrets, credentials, payment authentication data, private information you are not authorized to share, or unlawful content. Support and administrative staff may access submissions when necessary to respond to requests, investigate abuse, troubleshoot errors, or operate the service.
6. Intellectual property and copyright reports
Self’s software, interface, original graphics, branding, documentation, and other original service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and may not be copied, resold, impersonated, or presented as your own except where permission or an applicable open-source license allows it. Discord and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
If you believe content available through Self infringes rights you own or are authorized to represent, submit a report through the dashboard Support Center with enough information to identify the work, the material at issue, where it appears, and the basis for your claim. We may remove, restrict, or preserve material while reviewing a report.
This is a general content-reporting process. A dedicated legal or statutory notice contact may be added later; do not send confidential credentials or payment data in a report.
8. Availability and third-party services
Self depends on third-party systems including Discord, hosting and network providers, and—when enabled—the AI provider used by Self AI. API changes, rate limits, outages, permission changes, platform enforcement, or other events outside Self’s control may interrupt features.
We may add, remove, limit, redesign, suspend, or discontinue features as Self evolves. We may also perform maintenance or emergency changes without advance notice when reasonably necessary for reliability or security.
9. Suspension and enforcement
We may investigate suspected abuse and restrict or terminate access to Self where we reasonably believe these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, Discord rules, security requirements, or applicable law have been violated. Actions may include disabling dashboard access, limiting a server, disabling features, preserving relevant audit records, or removing Self from a server.
Self does not become the moderator or operator of an independent Discord community merely because the bot is present. Server owners and moderators remain responsible for their communities and moderation decisions.
10. Service disclaimer
SELF IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT SELF WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR SUITABLE FOR A PARTICULAR RESULT.
No moderation, anti-nuke, backup, recovery, automation, AI, logging, or security feature can guarantee that abuse, data loss, raids, unauthorized actions, or other incidents will never occur.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Self and its operators, developers, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, access, configuration, revenue, opportunity, or reputation arising from use of or inability to use Self.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Responsibility for misuse
You are responsible for claims, losses, or costs caused by your unlawful use of Self, your unauthorized administration of a server or account, content you submit without the right to do so, or your material violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms as Self changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Continued use of Self after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision once does not waive the right to enforce it later.
14. Questions
For questions about these Terms or an account-specific issue, use the Support Center in the dashboard. If you cannot access the dashboard, use Self’s existing community support channel. A dedicated legal contact method may be added later.
